1.LinknLink App and Smart Life Mobile App

1.1 In the policy, "Personal Data" means personally identifiable information used alone or in combination with other information. "Smart device" refers to a non-standard computing device produced or manufactured by a hardware manufacturer that has a human-machine (interactive) interface and can transmit data through a wireless network, including smart home appliances, smart wearable devices, smart air purification devices, etc. "Application" refers to a mobile application developed by Link & Link that enables end-users to remotely control smart devices and connect to Internet of Things (IoT) platform of Link & Link.


1.2 For mobile applications of other brands which is provided support service by Link & Link, it is up to our customers to decide what personal data to collect through our products. We collect information according to our customer’s requirements, the processing of such information is limited to the provision of the services that the customer has agreed to with us. If you are our customers, and you are not willing to be contacted by us, please contact the brand directly and inform them with your request.


1.3 In order to provide you with our services, we will ask you to provide the personal data necessary for such services. If you don’t provide personal data, we are unable to provide our product or service to you.

 

 

2. About the Information you Provide to us Voluntarily

2.1 Account or Profile Data: When you register for an account with us, we may collect your name and contact information such as your email address, phone number, username and login credentials.During your interaction with our products, we may further collect your nickname, avatar, country code, language preference or time zone information in your account, etc.

Feedback: When you use the feedback and suggestion functions in our products, we will collect your voluntary email address, mobile phone number and feedback content in order to deal with your problems and equipment failures in a timely manner.

 

 

3. About Information we Collect Automatically

3.1 Account information: your user nickname, avatar, mobile phone number and email address, Apple ID authorized login account name, Google authorized login account name, etc.

 

3.2 Device information: When you interact with our products, we will automatically collect device information, such as location permissions: Android 6.0 or above is required to obtain device Wi-Fi information (including nearby Wi-Fi lists) when the device is connected to the network. MAC address, IP address, wireless connection information, operating system type and version, application version number, push notification identifiers, log files and mobile network information.

 

3.3 Usage Data: During your interaction with our website and services, we automatically collect usage data related to visits, clicks, downloads, sending/receiving messages and other use of our website and services.

 

3.4 Log Information: When you use our application, system and exception logs may be uploaded.

 

3.5 Location Information: We may collect real-time precise or non-precise geolocation information about you when you use certain of our products or services, such as robot vacuums and weather services.

 

3.6 Home name, home region (set manually by you), room information, home background picture, local electricity price.

 

3.7 Data normally generated when the user uses the function: scene information, linkage information, remote control panel information.

 

3.8 Information about Smart Devices. 

3.8.1 Basic information of smart devices: When you use smart devices connected to our products or services, we may collect basic information about smart devices, such as device name, device ID, online status, activation time, firmware version and upgrade information, etc.

 

3.8.2 Information reported by smart devices: Depending on the different smart devices you choose to connect with our products or services, we may collect information reported by your smart devices. For example, smart sensors may report data such as temperature and humidity, human sensing, lighting, and more.

 
3.8.3 Media file information: After you authorize the storage data access permission, we will store the file name and file size of the audio, video, and picture data in the private family data according to your needs, and provide the media files to Link&Link app to play. (Currently only available in LinknLink app)
 
3.9 We do not collect data about your personal racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, personal genetic identification data, or data related to health, sex life or sexual orientation. We will not collect the data of users under the age of 16 without the permission of the guardian of the child. If you are a child under the age of 16, please obtain the permission of your parents or your guardian before you can use our products and services.

4. Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

4.1 We process your information for the following purposes:

(1)To provide you with services: We process your account and profile data, device information, usage data, location information and smart device-related information to provide the products and services you request or purchase. The legal basis for such processing is the performance of our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.
 

(2)To improve our services: We process your device information, usage data, location information, and smart device-related information to ensure the functionality and safety of our products, to develop and improve our products and services, to analyze the efficiency of our operations, and to prevent and tracking fraud or misuse. The legal basis for such processing is the performance of our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.

 

(3)Non-marketing communications: We process your personal data to send you important information about services, terms/conditions and policy changes and/or other administrative information. Due to the importance of this information, you may not be able to opt out of receiving such emails. The legal basis for such processing is the performance of our contract with you in accordance with our Terms of Use.

 

(4)Marketing Communications: We may process your personal data to provide you with marketing and promotional materials related to our products and services. 6.2 If you are in the EU, all your user data is preferentially kept in the EU, but in order to improve the experience of the products you use, our company will transfer the data uploaded with your consent to the whitelisted countries and regions recognized by the EU ( United States, Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand) or servers in mainland China, Japan, Russia. 7.1 We respect your rights and hold your personal data. You can exercise any of the following rights:

7.2 You don't need to pay anything and we will respond within 30 days. If you decide to email us a request, please state what information you would like to have changed, whether you would like your personal data to be removed from our databases, or what restrictions you would like us to be subject to in our use of your personal data. Please note that for security reasons we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request further.

 

7.3 What you can do:

(1)To request access to your personal data processed by us, you have the right to know the situation of the data collected, including the situation of the data uploaded to the cloud with your consent.

(2)Contact us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data about you.

(3)Request to delete your personal data; and destroy the data backed up in the cloud, the destruction operation will cancel the interconnection with the Alexa/Google platform by default, and all the cloud data will be deleted synchronously.

(4)Request that we process your data based on your consent or a contract with you, and where we process your data automatically, transfer personal data to you or to third parties.

(5)Opting out or objecting to our use of your personal data when we use it based on your consent or our legitimate interests.

(6)You can log out of your account. After you log out of your account, your cloud backup data will be deleted at the same time. You have the right to manually destroy the account and all data under the account at any time.

 

 

8. Security Measures

 
8.1 We take commercially reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to maintain the integrity and security of your personal data. LinknLink provides a variety of security policies to effectively ensure the data security of users and devices. In terms of device access, we use LinknLink proprietary algorithm to ensure data isolation, access authentication and authorization applications. In terms of data communication, it supports the use of security algorithms and transmission encryption protocols, as well as business-level encrypted transmission of information based on dynamic keys. In terms of data processing, strict data filtering and validation and a complete data review process are adopted. In terms of data storage, all confidential information of users will be securely encrypted for storage. If for any reason you believe that your interactions with us are no longer secure (for example, you believe the security of your LinknLink account has been compromised), please let us know immediately by emailing dpo@linklink-iot.com.

 

8.2 We will improve data security measures from time to time, including but not limited to data encryption, physical measures, data authentication and other means. We will choose to notify you as the situation requires.

8.4 In the event of a breach of your data, we will report the breach of personal data to the EU or your country’s supervisory authority within 72 hours, take appropriate remedial measures as soon as possible, and report the remedial measures to you and the EU supervisory authority . If we fail to report to the supervisory authority within 72 hours, our follow-up report will explain the reason for the delay.

We will process your personal data for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by specific laws. We will determine the appropriate retention period based on the volume, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, after which we will destroy your personal data. 9. Order management and payment

9.1 When you purchase goods/services, we need to collect some or all of the following personal information according to the type of goods/services, including: your consignee information, trading goods/services information, order number, order time, order amount. At the same time, if you use the face/fingerprint login and/or payment function in our products and/or services, you need to enter face or fingerprint information on your local device in advance, and complete information verification on your device when using the service. We need to use your face ID/touch ID permission (biometric authentication permission) to receive verification results, but we do not collect your face or fingerprint information. If you do not enable this permission, you will not be able to use the above services, but it does not affect your choice of other login or payment methods.
